We are raising money to provide scholarship funds for Veterans

to participate in a CranioSacral Therapy intensive program.  The program is happening in Salt Lake City May 2024.  To have this program be a success, we need the community support. Please consider making a donation. Help us make a difference for the Veterans participating in this program.

What is CranioSacral Therapy?

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) was pioneered and developed by osteopathic physician John E. Upledger following extensive scientific studies from 1975 to 1983 at Michigan State University, where he served as a clinical researcher and Professor of Biomechanics.

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system - comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams (about the weight of a nickel), practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system. CST has been shown to improve the functioning of the central nervous system, as well as many other systems of the body. CST has also been shown to help with the physical components related to conditions such as Post Traumatic Stress, depression and anxiety.

SomatoEmotional Release™ (SER) is a therapeutic process that uses and expands on the principles of CST to help a person address the residual effects of past injuries and negative experiences. SER facilitates a gentle process for releasing tissue memory. Research has shown that a change in physical health is accompanied by a change in mental health, and it is equally documented that the reverse is apparent. SER may also assist a person in gaining insight as to how that held trauma is influencing their physical and emotional health.

By facilitating the body's natural and self-healing processes, CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure and has been shown to be beneficial for people seeking help with a wide range of healthcare challenges and symptoms including:

  • Migraines, Headaches

  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

  • Chronic Pain

  • Sleep Issues

  • Traumatic Brain Injury & Concussion

  • Scoliosis

  • Immune Disorders

  • Post Surgerical Dysfunction

  • Chronic Fatigue

  • Emotional Difficulties, Depression

  • Stress & Tension Related Problems

  • Fibromyalgia & Other Connective Tissue Disorders
